In the summer of 2017, construction of the biogas installation of Bio Energy Coevorden (BEC) started at the Europark in Coevorden. Here, biomass will be converted into green gas on an industrial scale. BEC uses the most advanced and best available techniques for this. Every year, BEC will supply 26 million cubic meters of green gas to the Dutch natural gas network.

The company Biodiesel Kärnten GmbH was founded in 2001. As the main product, biodiesel of the highest quality is produced and sold from used vegetable oils and animal fats. In addition, the by-products glycerin, potash fertilizer and bio-heating oil are sold. Grease separator fats are also suitable as raw materials if requested by the customer.
