Since the end of August 2019, electricity has been generated from the organic waste in the newly built biogas plant – about as much electricity as 1,100 households consume annually. And even according to need: the electricity is fed in at times when there is an acute need because photovoltaic systems or wind turbines are performing less or not working at all.
