The “VERTIKON” small wind turbines work according to the Darrieus principle and are independent of the wind direction thanks to their vertical axis of rotation. They therefore do not need any wind tracking. The barrel looks smooth and aesthetic, hardly any noise is emitted even in strong winds. Therefore, they can also be operated without hesitation in the vicinity of residential buildings. The simple and robust design of the VERTIKON small wind turbine does not require any mechanics. It has no gears, no sliding contacts, no wind tracking, no mechanical brakes, no sensors and no rotor blade adjustment system.
