Kennemerwind | om has been generating energy using wind turbines since 1989. The oldest turbine is in Camperduin and the other turbines are in the municipality of Zijpe, along the North Holland canal. Kennemerwind | om is a members' organization and holds an annual members' meeting at which the board is accountable. Before the start of a new project, the members of the association receive an invitation to participate. In the summer of 2009, members and local residents participated in large numbers in the Burgervlotbrug wind farm. Kennemerwind | om hopes to realize new projects in the future.
