ADC GmbH operates a biomass power plant in Brand-Erbisdorf. The "green electricity" generated is fed into the network operator's power grid. The boiler is fired exclusively with natural forest wood chips, which are obtained from many suppliers in the vicinity. With the operation of the biomass power plant, ADC GmbH contributes to the regenerative power generation and thus to the power transition.
Today, bio-derived fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel are the preferred alternative transportation fuels available to consumers and ADM is a leading producer of both. Not only are we already producing cleaner fuels, we are working both independently and in partnership with other leading companies and research institutions to develop next-generation biofuels made from cellulosic sources.
