The German Biogas Association brings together operators, manufacturers and planners of biogas plants as well as representatives from science and research, and interested parties from all over Germany. Since it was founded in 1992, the Association, with over 4,700 members, has become Europe’s strongest organization in the area of biogas. With intensive political advocacy at federal and state levels, the Association campaigns for the increased use of biogas technology. Moreover, we support the exchange of information and experience in the sector.
The Huntstown Bioenergy Plant (EPA Licence P0993-01) is a state of the art anaerobic digestion (AD) plant which converts organic waste, such as food waste, into a methane rich biogas which is then used to generate renewable electricity and heat.
The Supergen Bioenergy Hub works with academia, industry, government and societal stakeholders to develop sustainable bioenergy systems that support the UK’s transition to an affordable, resilient, low-carbon energy future. This is supported through the Hub’s whole system research approach that encompasses all aspects of bioenergy expertise to identify pathways for delivering bioenergy with wider social, economic and environmental benefits.

Turn your commercial food waste into positive value on-site with our innovative food waste solution. We developed an on-site containerized anaerobic digester, called a Waste Transformer. It is placed next to companies or in communities that produce food waste. Biodegradable waste, such as kitchen waste, and commercial waste is automatically turned into biogas or electricity and heat. The food waste is converted into liquid natural fertilizer ready to replace (polluting) artificial fertilizers. Modular Waste Transformers recycle from 300kg food waste per day.
Wood energy is one of the pillars of the energy transition. This applies all the more to Baden-Württemberg. Wood energy has a long tradition here and is well established. A large number of successful companies stand for this. The Wood Energy Association of Baden-Württemberg offers these companies in particular an excellent platform to discuss their interests with politicians and legislators both regionally and nationally.
The World Biogas Association is the global trade association for the biogas, landfill gas and anaerobic digestion (AD) sectors.
