CCW Waterland

The Cooperative Wind Energy Waterland (CWW) originated in the late eighties of the last century as an initiative of a group of people who wanted to make a concrete contribution to a sustainable future. Anyone can become a member of the cooperative and the CWW now has more than 500 members, mainly in the Waterland region.

Claremorris and Western District Energy Co-Operative

The Claremorris and Western District Energy Co-Operative was founded to develop the benefits of community owned renewable energy, supporting communities and addressing climate change in the West of Ireland. With over 50 members, the Co-op are currently engaged on a voluntary basis to support communities in the transition to the low carbon economy.

Community Energy Association

Community energy refers to the delivery of community-led renewable energy, energy demand reduction and energy supply projects, whether wholly owned and/or controlled by communities or through a partnership with commercial or public sector partners.

A cooperative arises where a good idea cannot be realized on your own. Collaboration makes a plan or project feasible and benefits the members of the cooperative. Coöperatie Deltawind was founded in 1989 and is now one of the largest local energy cooperatives in the Netherlands.

DGRV – Deutscher Genossenschafts- und Raiffeisenverband e. V.

The Federal Office of Energy Cooperatives represents the interests of 850 energy cooperatives, which are organized under the umbrella of the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Association (DGRV). The federal office in Berlin is the central point of contact for federal politics, but also for authorities, associations and the public. The main task is to give the energy cooperatives a voice in the national political debate about the energy transition. The federal office is supported by the DGRV together with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative Association e.V., the Cooperative Association e.V., the Cooperative Association Bavaria e.V. and the Cooperative Association Weser-Ems e.V.

Around the joint project, eFarming GmbH & Co. KG, initiated by GP JOULE, together with community wind and solar parks, companies and municipal utilities, has set up a modularly expandable hydrogen production and sales network in North Friesland. Our ongoing eFarm Nordfriesland project, which started regular operation with the handover of two fuel cell buses for public transport and the opening of the second hydrogen filling station, was funded by the Federal Ministry with a total of eight million euros as part of the "National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology" funding guideline for transport and digital infrastructure.

Energie Samen

Energie Samen is the national umbrella organization and interest group of energy cooperatives and other collective energy initiatives. Together with sustainable citizens' initiatives from cities, villages and neighbourhoods, friends and neighbours, we roll up our sleeves for more and stronger (local) sustainable energy and savings projects! Together we ensure that everyone can participate in and benefit from a clean and affordable energy supply for all of us.
