We develop technologies and projects around hydrogen as an energy carrier and fuel. We consult, evaluate and invest in innovation around hydrogen mobility and energy.
hynes GmbH is a young spin-off from the laboratory for hydrogen technology and energy storage at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. For more than 20 years, competence in the various applications in the field of hydrogen production and use has been developed. The interdisciplinary team of technicians, engineers and scientists has specialized in the last 5 years in the areas of hydrogen production, hydrogen distribution, energy networks, battery storage systems and charging infrastructure in an application-oriented manner.
HyNet is the UK’s leading industrial decarbonisation project. We are unlocking a low carbon future across the north west of the UK – creating new roles, safeguarding existing jobs, growing a skills base and attracting investment into the region. HyNet will reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from across the region by a quarter starting in the mid-2020s. We will do this both by locking away the carbon dioxide emitted by heavy industry and by providing locally-produced low carbon hydrogen to power for industry, transport and to heat for our homes and businesses.
Building next generation fuel cells with both high specific power and high energy density.
HYPOS e.V. has been a network for anyone interested in the hydrogen economy since 2013. With over 160 members, HYPOS combines the potential of innovative SMEs with the skills of industry and the expertise of universities and research institutions. Together, all HYPOS members are pursuing the goal of establishing a cross-sectoral green hydrogen economy from the provision of electricity to the production, storage, distribution and use of green hydrogen in the areas of chemistry, refinery, mobility and energy supply. Funded by the Ministry of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, HYPOS is accelerating the industrial use and acceptance of green hydrogen applications in the hydrogen region of Central Germany with the expansion plan for the central...
HYREF GmbH develops and produces fuel cell systems using bio-/methanol as an energy source. The Fuel Cells are infrastructure-independent without requiring structural measures, they are flexible in use and can be implemented ad hoc. With operating times of over 10,000 hours and scalability from 2.5 -50kW, HYREF's methanol fuel cells can be used in many applications with an energy source that is readily available and can be used in almost all areas (e.g. in Class 1 environmental protection areas).
