Hydrogen is the energy carrier of the 21st century. Together with regenerative primary energies, it offers a basis for the energy industry of the future. The German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association e.V. is the umbrella organization of all those in Germany who are committed to the general use of hydrogen as an energy source in the economy and to the fact that hydrogen is produced from renewable energies - for a sustainable energy economy.
Around the joint project, eFarming GmbH & Co. KG, initiated by GP JOULE, together with community wind and solar parks, companies and municipal utilities, has set up a modularly expandable hydrogen production and sales network in North Friesland. Our ongoing eFarm Nordfriesland project, which started regular operation with the handover of two fuel cell buses for public transport and the opening of the second hydrogen filling station, was funded by the Federal Ministry with a total of eight million euros as part of the "National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology" funding guideline for transport and digital infrastructure.
FinH2 is a cooperative project between VTT, LUT, Aalto University, Business Finland and 18 stakeholders from various industries. Our target is to significantly improve Finland’s know-how and competitiveness in electrolysis and hydrogen technology and create a networked research and development platform.
H2BX, the name looks and sounds cryptic. But he isn't. H2 stands for hydrogen and BX was Bremerhaven's old fishing code. The name should make it clear that we, the association, want to do something for Bremerhaven and the region for the future. The main goal is to rely on hydrogen and fuel cell technology for the sake of the environment. It has many advantages for us and is climate-friendly, resource-saving, makes it possible to store energy, and on top of that, hydrogen can be converted into synthetic natural gas.
