The German Society for Solar Energy e.V. (DGS) was founded in Munich in 1975. The approximately 2,800 individual members and member companies are organized regionally in 36 sections and 6 state associations. The DGS sees itself as an intermediary between scientists, engineers, architects, the building trade, crafts, industry, authorities and parliaments. Project work, public relations and e.g. the development of a quality mark for solar systems help.
The German Concentrated Solar Power Industry Association (DCSP) has been committed to the generation and use of electricity, heat and fuel from concentrated solar technologies since 2013. Its members cover the entire CSP value chain. This ranges from project development and planning, engineering services, component deliveries and system integration to the ownership and operation of solar thermal power plants and research facilities. The aim of the association is to bundle the strengths and interests of German market participants and increase international market opportunities.
The association's goal is to grow a stable and reliable group of operators in the solar energy industry, which produces hundreds of millions of annual added value for Finnish society. The association aims to educate its members so that the systems purchased from them are of high quality, safe and work in accordance with sales promises.
