Collaboration is the cornerstone of Aura’s work. To deliver our mission we engage with academia, industry, NGOs, and national and local government. Focusing on five foundations set out in the Industrial Strategy to identify and break down technical, operational and economic barriers across the supply chain to deliver a cleaner world, a healthier economy and a better future.
The OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE foundation (foundation of German industry for the use and research of wind energy at sea) was founded in 2005 on the initiative and under the moderation of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The coastal states and all economic sectors involved in offshore wind energy were also involved. The aim of the foundation is to consolidate the role of offshore wind energy in the energy mix of the future in Germany and Europe and to promote its expansion in the interest of environmental and climate protection.
EAWE is an international non-profit organization that promotes and supports the development of wind energy science. Our goal is to exploit wind energy to its full potential for the benefit of the world. As an international alliance of more than 55 universities in Europe and the US, EAWE is a community of worldwide experts in wind energy that provides a credible voice of tomorrow’s wind energy research.
We are the federal association of all companies that plan, build and operate offshore wind farms in Germany. We are thus pooling the strength and know-how for a successful energy transition in Germany and Europe.
Finnish Wind Power Association supports the development and growth of the Finnish wind power industry.
Since its founding in 1996, the German Wind Energy Association (Bundesverband WindEnergie e.V. or BWE) has played a major role in Germany's energy transition process. With some 20,000 members, it is one of the world's largest associations in the renewables sector. For many years, BWE has been increasingly successful in advising political decision makers and efficiently expanding wind power in Germany. Furthermore and since climate and energy policy decisions are increasingly influenced by international politics, our experts work closely together with European and international associations, such as the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA), the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA).
