The Bioenergy Association represents the interests of the bioenergy sector in Finland.
We are the trade association for biogas producers from both the agricultural sector and industry, as well as suppliers, developers and consultancy companies.
Associations, companies and institutes from the fields of agriculture, agricultural engineering and biofuels came together in May 2016 to form the industry platform "Biofuels in agriculture and forestry". The aim of the industry platform is comprehensive and neutral information on the advantages and technical aspects of using a wide variety of biofuels in agriculture and forestry. The focus is on biodiesel DIN EN 14214, rapeseed oil fuel DIN 51605, vegetable oil fuel DIN 51623 and biomethane fuel - CNG - DIN EN 16723-2:2017-10.
The association, which has 85 members, currently employs 45 people. These deal with the topics of wood energy, biogas and other renewable energies as well as mobility, material use, bioeconomy, energy efficiency, acceptance and public relations.

Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Association promotes nutrient recyling and the use and development of biogas technology and its knowledge in the society. The Association wants to influence positive development of the biocycle sector field by taking part in the legislative development, by publishing information and by giving presentations in events organized by the Association or other actors.
