HyCologne - Hydrogen Region Rheinland e.V. connects more than 50 players from politics, industry and research. What they all have in common is the conviction that hydrogen is an indispensable energy source for achieving climate protection goals. Since 2007, the network has been pooling its diverse competencies in order to massively improve the marketability and profitability of hydrogen technology in the Rhenish region and to initiate large-scale projects. We rely on by-product hydrogen from the chemical industry as a transfer solution until green hydrogen is economically available in sufficient quantities.
The State of Bavaria has founded the Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) to consolidate and expand the strong position of the Bavarian industry in the important future field of the hydrogen economy. Hydrogen East is a new body bringing together interested parties and key stakeholders on hydrogen specifically in the East of England. We are committed to raising awareness of existing and potential H2 opportunities across East Anglia and to promote the technology and support local supply chains.
The project office "Hydrogen Metropolis Ruhr" - HyMR for short - was founded at the end of 2021 by decision of the association assembly of the regional association Ruhr and is intended to make the diverse hydrogen activities in the region visible and to provide coordinating support for the realization of the market ramp-up of the hydrogen economy.
