The Karlsruhe Energy and Climate Protection Agency (KEK) was founded in June 2009 as a non-profit organization. As a neutral organisation, the KEK informs and advises the citizens of Karlsruhe, companies and organizations on climate protection, the efficient use of energy, energetic building renovation and the expansion of renewable energies.
